Key dates and the ordering window

Diwali 2026 is on Sunday, 8 November, with Dhanteras on Friday, 6 November. Most companies hand gifts over in the working week before the festival, 2–6 November, which means gifts need to be at your office, or at employees' homes, by Monday, 2 November at the latest.

Work backwards from there. Zyftt's standard lead time is 7–14 working days after you approve the digital proof, and couriers slow down in the last fortnight before Diwali. For a 100–500 piece order, confirm the order and approve the proof by 15–20 October. Larger orders, multi-city home delivery or fully bespoke hampers need a start in early October.

Under ₹500: gifts that don't feel like ₹500

This is the budget for large teams, contract staff, event guests and thank-you gifts across a whole channel. The trick is one well-made, useful item rather than a thin hamper of three cheap ones.

  • Stainless-steel insulated bottle with a laser-engraved logo — used daily, seen daily.
  • A5 hardbound notebook and metal pen set in a gift box.
  • Ceramic mug paired with a tea or coffee sampler.
  • Brass diya pair with a small box of dry fruits — traditional, and it travels well.
  • Jute or canvas tote packed with a snack assortment.

₹500–₹1,000: the standard employee Diwali gift

The most common bracket for employee gifts in mid-size companies. It buys a proper hamper or a two-piece gift set with room left for good packaging.

  • Dry-fruit hamper (almonds, cashews, pistachios) in a rigid box with your logo on the sleeve.
  • Bottle, notebook and pen set in a branded box.
  • Wireless charging pad or a compact power bank.
  • Scented candle and a chocolate box — a home-friendly gift for hybrid teams.
  • Premium tea collection tin — ships well to remote employees.

₹1,000–₹2,500: managers, clients and partners

This bracket covers senior staff, mid-tier client contacts and distributors. Hampers dominate because they can be shared; tech and bags work when you want the gift to outlast the festival.

  • Gourmet hamper — dry fruits, chocolates, cookies, a candle and a card, in a hard box.
  • Executive backpack or laptop bag with a subtle embroidered logo.
  • 3-in-1 wireless charger for phone, earbuds and watch.
  • Silver-plated or brass diya set with a sweets box for client offices.
  • Desk set: folio, engraved pen and a card holder.

₹2,500 and above: key accounts and leadership

At this level the gift represents the relationship, so build it rather than pick it: a curated hamper with a handwritten note, a premium tech accessory, or a keepsake that stays on a desk. Keep branding minimal — a small engraved mark or a branded card, not a print across the front.

  • Curated luxury hamper: premium dry fruits, artisanal chocolates, a candle and a home décor piece.
  • Wireless earbuds or a smart speaker with a discreet engraved logo.
  • Engraved metal pen with a leather-look folio.
  • Handcrafted décor — brass, marble or wooden pieces — with a Diwali card.

Who gets what: employees, clients and channel partners

Employees: one gift for everyone, ideally something they use at home. If budgets differ by grade, keep the difference in the packaging and the extras, not in the quality of the core item.

Clients: pick by account value and send to the office, not the home — many client companies have gift-value policies, which our etiquette guide covers. Put a handwritten note in every box.

Channel partners and distributors: hampers work best because they can be shared within the partner's team, and a shared gift is remembered by more people.

Branding that looks like a gift, not an ad

  • Put the logo on the box sleeve, the ribbon or the card rather than across the product.
  • Laser engraving on metal (bottles, pens) ages better than print.
  • For hampers, a printed card with a message from leadership does more than a logo.
  • Use "Add your logo" on any Zyftt product page to preview placement; a digital proof follows within 24 hours.

Delivering to homes and multiple cities

With hybrid teams, a growing share of Diwali orders ship straight to employees' homes. Share the address list with your enquiry — name, phone, full address with PIN code — and we quote the logistics per destination. Food hampers and glass items are packed for courier transit. Deliveries to multiple offices are grouped per office to keep freight down.
